Decking is a great addition to any outdoor space; it adds a whole new area to your home that can be used to bring light into the house while also being a usable space where you can relax, unwind and even enjoy some dinner and drinks with your loved ones. But how can you ensure you get a deck that makes the neighbours jealous – and maybe even increase the value of your home? Here is a collection of our favourite decking ideas that will make your deck better than anyone else’s.

A Mowing Strip/Decking Edge
It may seem a simple idea, but this can really make the difference from your deck being good, to looking fantastic (and making everyone green-eyed in the process). A mowing strip is an extra edge around your decking and can be made from gravel or brick. It adds a level of professionalism that most people won’t have.

Built In Planters
Planters are a beautiful addition to any deck, and having them built in looks incredible. Whether you want a herb garden, a multi-level corner planter or you just want to keep things simple with a trough planter, the addition of greenery to any decking makes it look far more professional than just plain wooden boards.

Building in matching seating to your deck can look spectacular. Not only can we create decking seating easily using your decking boards (which is an incredibly cheap way to build a great looking seat), custom building one also means we can build in your own storage area underneath the seats.
